Q: How do I attend the Virtual Gala?
A: To participate in the Virtual Gala, you must purchase tickets which will provide access to the mobile bidding site and the Live (via ZOOM) event. Purchase Tickets Here
Q: If I have plans on February 27th, can I still participate in the gala?
A: YES! One positive from doing a virtual gala is that all you need to participate in the silent auction is your phone! Bidding is also going to start the week of the auction, so you will have plenty of time to look at the items and place your bids. But, you must buy a ticket to gain access to the auction!
Q: What is a Host Package and how do I purchase one?
A: Host Packages are sponsorship opportunities for our Virtual Gala. There are 3 Host Packages available – each at different levels of sponsorship. Whether you gather with a small group of IHM couples for a COVID-safe viewing party or make it a party of two, the Host Packages provide a few items to make your party at home even better. You can check out the Host Packages on the Gala tab of the IHM website. Host Packages
Q: If I want to go in with another couple or two to buy a Host Package, do I still need to purchase tickets to participate in the auction, or do all have access?
A: Each couple will need to purchase a ticket to bid. One ticket is included in the Host Package – but all other couples will need to purchase a separate $25 ticket. All tickets should be purchased through our site using this link Purchase Tickets Here and can be billed to your FACTS account.
Q: Do I have to host a gathering if I buy a Host Package?
A: No. If you feel comfortable gathering with a few others for a COVID-safe viewing party you can do so – but you are welcome to make it a date night at home.
Q: If I purchase a Host Package, when will I get it?
A: We will have a pick-up station during carpool for Host Packages 1-2 days before the event. Details will be sent out the week of the event.
Q: Will there be anything in person for this year’s Gala?
A: This year’s Gala is completely virtual which means that you’ll be bidding on auction items from your phone. There will be an hour-long live auction from 8-9pm that you’ll be able to access from your computer. During the live event, we’ll have the Fund-a-Cause bidding and will announce a few of the auction winners, including the winner of the Tuition Raffle. The link to attend the live event as well as the link for the auction will go out to all ticket holders the week leading up to the event.
Q: My child contributed to something for their Classroom Project, does that mean I already have a ticket to the auction?
A: No. If you would like to bid on the classroom project your child contributed to or any of the other items we have for auction, you will need to purchase a ticket to this year’s Gala. Purchase Tickets Here
Q: Will there be a Tuition Raffle this year?
A: Yes! If you have purchased a ticket to the gala, you can purchase Tuition Raffle ticket(s) on the auction site in advance, or throughout the night. Raffle winner will receive a portion of the Catholic tuition rate to apply towards tuition for the 2021-22 school year. Percentage will be based on the number of tickets sold. Winner will be announced at the end of the night.
Q: What is the Fund-a-Cause?
A: Fund A Cause is a fundraiser for one specific need. This year any funds raised through the Fund A Cause will go directly towards a new sound system for the cafeteria. The current one IHM utilizes does not work properly and is not up to certain codes. Please visit the "Can You Hear Me Now" section on the GALA tab of the IHM website for more info!

Q: What are Classroom Captains?
A: Classroom Captains will replace Kids Rule the School this year secondary to COVID protocols. The teacher would select which day (March-May) that the student would be Captain (so 12 homerooms, probably 12 different days). The Captain would meet with the teacher beforehand. The Captain could select a special themed out of uniform day for that homeroom on that selected day (i.e., Hawaiian day, spirit day, wear black and white day, dress up day, dress as your favorite character from a book day, etc. etc., you get the idea – the ideas are endless). Captain would also get to select a special snack for the day (bag of chips, ice cream, etc.). Then in the last hour or two of the day, the Captain would get to select a special activity for the homeroom. Could be an extra recess period, watch a movie, play board games, put on skits, etc. etc. The teacher would still teach that day, but the Captain would be involved in any decisions.
