The IHM School Advisory Council (SAC) provides advice and counsel to the school administration regarding the operation of the school. SAC members do not make policy nor do they have a role in hiring, evaluation or decision making with regards to IHM personnel.
The SAC consists of the following committees: Mission Effectiveness, Finance, Advancement, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Technology, and Facilities. SAC provides leadership and coordination of all committee functions and responsibilities and acts as a liaison between the school administration and the parent community.
The School Advisory Council meets five times a year (September, November, January, March, and May). With the guidance of the council, new SAC members are appointed by the principal and approved by the Archbishop. SAC members each serve three year terms. In order to ensure continuity from year to year, the terms are staggered so only one third of SAC members roll off at the end of any given year. The pastor, principal, and Superintendent of the Catholic Schools serve as ex-officio members of the School Advisory Council. Parents are welcome to contact current SAC members to understand more about the various committees and how to get involved.
